First impressions were deceiving at this hotel, which cannot be considered 4 star service. The rooms are spacious, nice and clean (no complaints there at all). The pool area is tired and poorly maintained (scraggly old towels and deck chairs infested with ants). The staff and service is unfortunately not up to scratch with many confusions and shortcomings arising throughout the stay: - Extremely overpriced tuk tuk booking service (triple the amount of a Grab) - Went for above service as wanted peace of mind for a tight 4am journey, but front desk said the tuk tuk wasn't there next morning, so we went for a Grab (which was abundant at 4am so we needn't have worried) - Was later accused of cancelling the booked tuk tuk service by front desk because I was sick (complete fabrication, presumably was going to try charge me the cost of the failed booking) - Was asked to pay the entire value of the room and told I hadn't already paid at the time of luggage collection before going to the airport (i.e. many hours after check out!!), which again was a complete fabrication. Luckily I had internet to double check that I had paid but they were still confused/unsatisfied and fumbling through paperwork... in the end I left them and they relented as it became clear I was getting irritated and getting late for the airport minivan... complete shambles. I could've easily paid twice if I believed them and was too time pressured to check properly. - Breakfast is variable buffet or to order depending on guest number. Buffet was poorly stocked at the end and hot food felt like it was being rationed despite many customers waiting. Food to order on low guest number days was very slow and included microwaved rice of questionable age/safety.
