After travelling around Asia for a few months we ended our trip in Siem Reap and decided to stay at the Memoire Palace as treat for our final week. What a treat it was! This place was magical and we had such a lovely week relaxing by the gigantic pool. There is also a beautiful spa with sauna, steam and a gym. The staff were so friendly and lovely to chat to. They went out of their way to help with any request we had. The room was huge with a very comfy bed. Cannot fault the place. I absolutely recommend this resort. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Where to start? The most comfortable bed I've slept on out of any hotel I've ever stayed at in Asia. Amazing landscaping (cherry blossom and mangosteen trees, etc.) and a pool which could qualify as a small river encircling an island perfectly fit for lounging during those Cambodian afternoons when it's too hot to do anything else. Stayed in a suite with a pool view. Big rooms with great tall ceilings rarely found in a hotel rooms. The bathroom was also much bigger than normal and had a standalone tub, marble floors and great water pressure. It's small details like these that add up to make an experience exceptional. You can tell when a luxury hotel is nice, but they cut corners, and at this place they cut no corners. A great place to stay for families as well since you can rent an entire villa which consists of 8 connecting rooms which meet in an atrium with a private exit directly to the pool. Very smart design. Lastly, the breakfast buffet has a lovely variety and the service is top-notch with some of the friendliest staff you'll encounter. A true 5 star experience from a hotel that should be on anyone's short-list who's looking for a luxury stay in Siem Reap.
