Holiday Inn Resort Grand Cayman, an IHG Hotel

Upon first arriving at this hotel I was very upset due to the lack of transparency that the website provided, in stating that the hotel was located on 7 mile beach (yet was over 1.7 miles away from it). However, the service at this hotel was impeccable and after meeting Mr. Darren (the manager), my entire feeling about the location of the hotel, changed. While staying at the Holiday Inn, the staff made me feel as though I was their family. I was treated with kindness and the staff was incredibly helpful. Full disclosure, If you stay at this hotel, and you want to go to 7 mile beach, make sure to rent a car. Otherwise you will be at the mercy of their shuttle service (which runs once every hour and only up to 5pm). The photos make it appear as though you are on the beach, when in reality you are on what looks like the bay (known as the corridor). My mom and I still had such a wonderful time while there and if we had to do it all over again, we would stay at this exact hotel again. If you stay at this hotel, you should certainly go to the restaurant on site. It has really great food, with great service and a friendly staff. The beds at this hotel were also so comfortable. My mom is still inquiring on what type of bed was there…lol. So, in conclusion, this is the place to stay for the right amount of money. I would certainly recommend this hotel. If you decide to stay at the Holiday Inn, tell the manager (Darren) that Joy sent you! I hope you have a wonderful time!
