Overall three stars for a three star hotel. The very first issue that occurred was the fact I made a reservation for a certain amount of pesos….then when we arrive it’s over 2,000 more pesos than what my reservation was for. REGARDLESS of whether or not there’s a price change fluctuation…it should be very clearly noted or explained somewhere about this or even an updated email. So that was a foreshadowing for what was to come. Breakfast that was additional money onto the reservation was subpar. Not many varieties of food, very basic. The hotel room was mostly clean…but if management is going to read this review SWITCH OUT YOUR TOWELS/BEDDING that have stains, tears or discoloration. It does not look professional and is unnerving. I’ve read reviews about people not getting refreshed towels when room service came through. Thankfully that only happened once, but friends that were staying in the hotel said it happened MULTIPLE times and they had to consistently go down to the lobby and ask for more. The staff is very aware of this but it does not change because it’s Mexico and tourists are always going to need a place to stay. Some rooms have irons but no boards and vice versa. I also I noticed other guests were struggling with certain room keys not working/open doors. The staff is wonderful and friendly but the hotel needs some updating. This isn’t the early 2000’s or 2010’s anymore. It’s a cheaper hotel that’s not the worst but not the best. So it’s why three stars makes sense in reviews and in its name. Similar reviews show consistency in problem areas
