This is a low key, very local, kind of basic, but really good and great value place for breakfast. Located right next door to the fancy Hotel Matilda (which is also great but pretty expensive) they serve really fresh fruit and delicious eggs done as you request for 100 Pesos. Waiters Gerardo & Sarah and chef Sophia offer a really nice and inexpensive experience. Well worth trying.
We have been coming to Mansion Del Bosque for 25 years and each year we are again surprised and delighted by the soulfulness and beauty of this place- the wonderful fresh food, the kind and attentive staff( always going a step beyond to help), the wonderful location and the all-around authentic Mexican experience for the best price I have found in San Miguel. This is a rare, charming vintage, and authentic multi-leveled oasis dripping with plants and art and tiny little alcoves and balconies. II highly recommend a stay at Mansion Del Bosque, a hidden gem.
