I have stayed at other city express before and have never experienced something like this before. First of all staff was amazing, receptionist was professional and courteous. But the location does not live up to the name city express, gave me more of a local cheap motel vibe. I stayed at the second floor, carpet was dirty all around, ripped from certain areas. Once inside the room, carpet was dirty as well, walls were stained, and certain metal parts were covered with rust, such as bathroom door frames and other parts around the room. I did not have towels in my room and had to remove some hairs from the sheets. Later on the evening I talked to someone that was a former employee and is now a taxi driver and once he heard my complaints, he explained how little the employees get paid, so employees don't last there and can't keep them hired. Now that explains everything, pay your employees a decent wage so they can have dignity in their work and also that way you are not short staffed. I know they are short staffed when I saw the "security " moping the floors in the morning and cleaning the breakfast area instead of watching the parking lot or other security issues. Owner/General Manager does not deserve to have a city express under their representation.
