Oakwood Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur

Location of hotel is very ideal. It is not situated in the middle of traffic jams etc, therefore, it is not noisy too. Rooms are very clean and spacious. We booked a 2 bedroom suite. It is actually 2 connecting rooms which we are ok. There is a living room with a kitchenette attached to the bigger room. As we have 3 young kids, the living room n kitchenette are very useful.|Breakfast spread is average. Don't expect anything fancy. If you need a quick fix before heading out, then u can opt for the breakfast. Else, i suggest that you cross the overhead bridge and try Kenny Hill's Bakery or the small eateries inside Hock Choon Supermarket. |Hock Choon rocks too as we need a constant supply of fresh milk for our kids. |Back to Oakwood, the only area of inprovement is the housekeeping. I guess we are the only guests staying on that level, housekeeping will come n press the bell at 8ish in the morning. It happened a few times. Dishes and cups in the sink are not being washed. In the end, i have to do it everyday. After housekeeping, they remove our towels but the fresh set will only come in the afternoon after we call to request. So, we dont quite understand why the housekeeping wants to come so early in the morning when they do not have new towels to give us. (The housekeeping guy tells us that the washed towels will only reach the hotel after 1pm). |Overall, we had a pleasant stay and may consider coming back again! |
