Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree

I selected the Pavilion Hotel because of its location over the Pavilion Shopping Mall and also I wanted to experience a hotel directly managed by the Banyan Tree hotel group, and booked to stay for 12 nights. On my previous visit to KL I had stayed with Mandarin Oriental and Shangri La hotels. I picked an Oasis Grand Club Room at the Pavilion Hotel which did not disappoint, all my contact with the housekeeping team was excellent, the room was kept very clean and all bedding and towels were changed daily, as part of the room package I also received 3 items laundered daily. I used the Club Lounge regularly, which I really liked, breakfast was a little limited, so I started using the Courtyard where the selection of breakfast options was vast and again all interaction with the staff was positive. Food is totally subjective so in this case it can only relate to my individual tastes, for the cocktail hours 17.30-19.30 the Club Lounge Team to a man or women were very attentive and I thank them all for that, however, although the selection of canapés and hot dishes was very comprehensive I found that on some evenings I was overwhelmed with glorious smells and tastes, on other nights I couldn’t find a hot dish acceptable to my palate, I think this was a direct reflection as to which Chef was on duty. In conclusion I must say that overall I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly book to stay here again.
