We booked a premier corner ocean room with 2 king beds. We are a family of 4, with 2 small children. ||The best features are the room’s size and design. Although we were in a second floor our privacy wasn’t compromised. We used both balconies frequently. I loved opening the big glass sliding doors in the mornings to let the morning breeze fill up our room. You get stunning views from both balconies.||Bathroom is spacious as well. You’ll find a rain shower and an extendable shower head too. The bathtub is comfortable and elegant.||In terms of food we didn’t have the need to go outside the hotel. Breakfast was really good. I tried all Malaysian dishes. I cannot remember the names but I enjoyed all of them, including the very spicy ones. They have a good variety of produce, they even offer manchego cheese from Spain. Incredible. ||The Cassia restaurant has a good selection of dishes for lunch and dinner. My favourites were the sea bass ( without any sauce), the seafood radna, and the seafood marinara. Portions are generous, well cooked and flavours delicious.||Our children loved the sea bass as well. They also had pizzas and fish & chips of course. For breakfast they weren’t as adventurous as their dad but enjoyed eggs, smoothies and the selection of fruit.||We believe they have a very good chef. Staff at the restaurant were very attentive and kind. ||The hotel has two pools. One for adults only in the fifth floor and the kids pool in the ground floor. My kids spent many hours in there. The pool is a good size and wasn’t very crowded. I read complaints about the scarcity of pool chairs. We never had any issue in that respect though.||The beach is clean and the surf is very calm. The presence of jellyfish might deter some from swimming. I did it three times and nothing happened. However my kids developed their sand castle building skills instead.||My kids also visited the playground and the activity center frequently. They brought back necklaces and bracelets from there.||My wife had a great experience at the spa. She was pleased to have some down time in a very nice setting. ||Gym was well equipped and clean. It wasn’t crowded.||We loved our stay at Parkroyal. Maybe it was the lovely people who work here, I don’t know. We stayed for 9 nights and we had a couple of mishaps but they were resolved promptly and didn’t spoiled our overall experience.
