During our check-in process, our credit card was charged twice, and later the second charge was canceled. Despite making a reservation for a Moxy Sleeper Lookout Twin, they provided us with a Moxy Sleeper Twin room. We went up to the room with our belongings, realized the mistake, and went back down to the reception. I explained the situation, trying to convey that they had given the wrong room by showing them the confirmation from my booking.com reservation. They stated that they didn't care about the room type on the booking.com site and insisted that their system showed a different reservation. After the discussion, they finally provided a new room, and we went up again. It was noticed that this room had not been cleaned yet. After further discussions, they gave us a third new room. We went up again, left our luggage in the room, and headed to the city center for our pre-scheduled plans. Unfortunately, our plans for the day were disrupted due to the room confusion. Going back and forth between the rooms and the reception exhausted and upset us. They claimed to have upgraded our room, but it wasn't true because I had booked a Moxy Sleeper Lookout Twin, and after a long struggle, I stayed in that room type. My reservation record is available on the booking.com site and can be checked. The reservation amount on booking.com was €722.13, but they charged me €714.59. Despite showing my booking.com reservation, they didn't care at all; they acted as if it didn't matter and their system didn't show it that way. This situation we encountered in the first minute of our arrival in the city seriously upset us and caused us a significant waste of time.||||The rooms are extremely small. The narrowest beds I have ever seen (considering them as single beds) are in this hotel. Unfortunately, there is no safe in the room to keep valuable items such as a passport or money. There is no mini-bar in the room either. There is a pear-shaped pouf in the room, sitting and getting up is very difficult, and it is not useful at all. It would have been much better if they had placed a chair instead. The hotel is quite far from the city. You can reach the city center by taxi or bus number 48. There is a recycling or garbage terminal near the hotel, causing a very disturbing bad smell.||||Apart from these, a few years ago, we faced a similar problem at the Boston Marriott Boston Downtown hotel, and for this reason, we had to stay in a different hotel. As far as I have experienced, the Marriott group does not take into account the room types chosen by customers during reservations, has a serious disconnect with the booking.com site, has no slightest idea about customer satisfaction, and does not care at all about the reservation made through booking.com. ||||The room you choose during the reservation has no value to them; they give you any room type they want. If you are considering making a reservation in this group, be prepared that you will likely not stay in the room type you chose. I definitely do not plan to stay at hotels in this group again.
Have stayed here several times, check inn is at the Moxy. Pasquale checked us in and he was very accommodating. The rooms have all you need, kitchen, micro, stove dishwasher etc. very nice and clean. The location is good, a 5 to 10 minute walk to the bus stop. The bus goes to Amsterdam Central and runs frequently.||The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, Isabella, Julia & Julliett were always happy to help.||The breakfast is still on the ninth floor, and was the same food everyday! We stayed for several days and it was always the same food, it would of been nice if there was a little rotation. |We had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia at breakfast, she was wonderful. Always had a smile on her face and happy to accommodate. She is a very hard worker since most of the time there were only two employees. |Hope to return soon.|Aloha
