I recently stayed at Quest Serviced Apartments in New Plymouth and had a mixed experience. The location is undeniably excellent, situated in the heart of the CBD and close to attractions like the Coastal Walkway, Centre City Shopping Mall, and Pukekura Park. The 40 guestrooms are well-equipped with modern amenities, including microwaves and smart televisions. The complimentary wireless internet access was reliable, and the bathroom amenities were satisfactory. However, the standout issue during my stay was the parking situation. With no more than ten parking spaces available for almost forty apartments, finding a spot can be a frustrating challenge. More often than not, guests are forced to park on the street, adding an inconvenient layer to the stay. Street parking is not only a hassle but also comes at an additional cost, with time limitations that may require you to move your car periodically. The official description boasts a convenient location and emphasizes the exploration of the city like a local, with easy access to the Taranaki region’s coastline, Mount Taranaki volcano, and Egmont National Park. The promise of a comfortable apartment for relaxation holds true, but the parking issue detracts from the overall positive experience. For those who prioritize central locations and can overlook parking concerns, Quest Serviced Apartments might still be a suitable choice. However, if convenient and ample parking is a priority, it's worth considering other options in the area. The on-site pantry shopping service is a nice touch, providing the option for guests to enjoy a home-cooked meal in their well-appointed apartments.
