Spent 5 nights here as part of wedding entourage. Did not have hot water for 3 days, so got switched from executive suite to family room, which they said was an upgrade. It was definitely not an upgrade as although family room was physically bigger, it did not have nicer bathroom with separate shower stall. My son arrived 2 days later and had no hot water in his room for 3 days, so finally came to our room yesterday to wash off salt water as he had been snorkelling. We were supposed to receive 2 complimentary room massages from the hotel for the inconvenience, but only one masseuse showed up 30 minutes late and my husband gave up on the second one as it was 9:30 pm and he had to be up at 5:00 a.m. the following morning for a dive trip. Wifi was extremely unstable as we got constantly kicked off, so their IT guy switched us to their admin side. On the plus side, staff were very nice, but manager did not call us back when front desk promised she would to deal with hot water issue. Location is very central and convenient. Chinese restaurant 1/2 block away was terrible but Vietnamese restaurant across the street was very good. Jollibee is 1.5 blocks away. There is a bar a block away with a live band that plays music so loud, we can hear it (we were on 4th floor facing People’s Park). As family room air conditioner only had hi/low setting and was not thermostat controlled, it was constantly running and was so loud we had to wear ear plugs in order to sleep anyway. My husband and I seriously considered moving on day 2, but it would’ve inconvenienced the wedding group.
