The perfect stay in Puerto Rico. The people working here are kind, helpful and excellent disposition. The place was very clean. Location is a top notch in PR, just step out of the backyard and there was the natural reserve with a trail for biking and hiking. Just 50 or 70 m away from Combate beach which is just great. The place is also a few minutes walk from a really cool restaurant. From the beach and also from the restaurant, perfect place for sunsets. This hotel made our trip to PR something very special. Awesome spot a complete highlight!
While you can't actually see the beach from the hotel due to the wildlife refuge, it's far more quiet than being in town. The walk to the beach takes only a couple of minutes. The beach is less crowded, and you can walk a long ways for even more seclusion. In November, the wind was less ferocious on this side of the island. We booked a "deluxe king room" but the room was hardly deluxe. Very large, but very empty. There was no place to put a suitcase if you didn't want to completely unpack. The room had only one chair, no desk and chair, nowhere else to sit. The balcony had a small table and chairs. Most of the time it was too hot and windy to be out there. All of the king deluxe rooms face the road. Fortunately the neighborhood was very quiet. Our shower had no hot water, and so they were kind enough to move us to the Honeymoon suite next door. If you can possibly afford it, this is the room to be in!! A 2-room suite, it has a "living room" with sofa, table and chairs inside, and a modest kitchen. There is a tiny slice of sea view between the trees, and you can watch the sunset. If we return, we would book this room. The other suites may be similar but we didn't see them. Options for lodging in this area are limited, and this is probably the best one.
