We exchanged our normal timeshare weeks in Florida to visit PR with friends and extended family. We had 2 3-Bedroom units and both were very nice. The fixtures were typical timeshare -- usable but not luxurious - which we totally expected. The oasis pool has a nice bar and you can order food there. It has a very cool vibe and is nice place to relax or do fun activities like salsa lessons or bingo. The drinks at the bar are well made but the service is slow. It's like they make one drink from start to finish before making others. Having worked as a bartender I can assure you that it's possible to make 2 margaritas at once even if one is slightly different than the other. The beach at the end of Harbour Drive is small and not great for swimming. You could swim there but it's more of a park where you can sit and watch the water. Very pretty though. There is no longer access to "the beach club" (didn't know this ahead of time) but there is access to a beach area near the Wyndham. You can ride the shuttle there and back. There is normally someone who can give you chairs and umbrellas but he was off whenever we went. The beach has a lot of sargassum and you can't go out far or the lifeguard will yell at you - supposedly bc the water is too rough. We are from the Mid-Atlantic and their rough water was like a very calm day for us but we complied. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved them. The only reason I knocked off a star was because it took over an hour to check in. There were 4 families in front of us, each of which seemed to have a special request or something and each one was handled from start to finish. This seemed kind of inefficient and I know the staff can be more efficient because they got us checked in quickly even with a few questions we had about the area. Maybe some retraining would be helpful. We loved the Palmanova Plaza restaurants and will miss hearing the coqui at night time. I don't know if we would stay here again because it was kind of a hike from the good beaches but it was quiet and clean.
