Beautiful location, set in the middle of vineyards, the hotel is stunning. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is good, although it could be simpler and less designer. Recommend going for a walk through the ground and surrounding countryside. And definitely go for lunch at the Solar Douro which is 5mins up the road.

Very modern hotel, All the rooms have view over the Douro river. The rooms have a small balcony . It’s a contemporary hotel and very very quiet . You don’t hear any cars or traffic. if you’re looking for peace, this is the place!!! That’s why I think this should be an adults-only hotel. It would attrack new customers seeking peace and rest. If you have kids, you should better visit a hotel that’s focused on children. The pool is very nice, especially the pool bartender is very good, speaks many languages and is very very helpfull and friendly! This in contradiction to the staff of the reception… they never look up or say hello when you enter the hotel. I’ve never experienced this in any hotel ever! When you enter a hotel or any place , its normal to greet the customers. That’s why I give 4 stars in stead of 5! The location of the hotel is very special, and has incredible views! The restaurant of the hotel serves local food, very tasty. But again… the waiter doesn’t smile!! I also recommend a course in english lessons for the waiters. If you work in the tourist sector, you need to know your languages! Very Nice hotel but the staff needs to be trained in hospitality. Except the bartender of the pool! 😄☺️ I really loved this hotel!
