Jaca Hostel is a small but friendly hostel in Porto da Cruz. The village itself is a small village with a nice beach and restaurants around. There is not much to do there apart from eating, surfing and hiking so if you expect nightlife or shopping, then this is not your place (but this is not Jaca's fault :)) The hostel is small and clean, and the vibe is fantastic! Félicie and Ricki the 2 hosts were amazing! They were very helpful and kind, and were always there to answer all the questions. I arrived there as a total stranger but left the hostel as part of the tribe :) What's more, Ricki is a fantastic chef so if you are there on a burger or pizza night you have to try his food! Thank you for making my stay unforgettable!
This hostel is an absolute gem! With its picturesque environment, friendly staff, and perfect location, I can't recommend it enough. The hostel offers a cozy and clean atmosphere with beautifully decorated spaces, including inviting common areas and a convenient shared kitchen. The staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and supported throughout their stay. Porto da Cruz itself is a delightful little village to explore and from where you can start beautiful hikes and even surf at a nearby beach, Praia da Maiata. I had such a fantastic experience here that I am already looking forward to returning. Don't miss out on this amazing hostel!
