Wonderfully helpful staff. Very centrally located to popular tourist traffic areas. Feel of luxury and old world charm in refurbished historic building. Minor maintenance issues of dishwasher filters being clogged so the machine didn’t clean, the toilet running so you had to jiggle it to get it to stop constantly dribbling, the design of the second bathroom shower head into very a corner and available pressure meaning it was difficult to get your body under water, and the second bedroom being more of an attic nook with a small double that would be best for children travelling with you. Those minor annoyances aside the staff and their excellent support leave it as a lovely place to stay.

This was one of the nicest rooms we stayed in Europe. It had a private outdoor sitting area off our room. Two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Even included a small washing machine. The check-in by the lady at the front desk was the most detailed we’ve ever had at a hotel. She brought us to the room and showed us around. Gave us tips on where to eat and what to see in Porto. Offered us a glass of port. Fully exceeded all expectations. Excellent location just steps from the cathedral and Luis I bridge.
