We had dinner at Casa do Arco, last night. Antonio greeted us and got us seated, right away. The popcorn and Port starter course was a very unique pairing, which we enjoyed. We shared the steak price fixed dinner option. Due to a mushroom allergy, my salad was substituted; it was full of delicious fresh vegetables. My friends really enjoyed the burrata and truffle salad. And dessert was vanilla ice cream with decadent chocolate drizzle. We tried two of the M+A label Touriga Nacional wines and both were excellent with the steak. The chef deserves many compliments and we highly recommend that you visit if you’re in the area. Service, food, and wine were exceptional.
I never write reviews but this place was one of my favorite from all my travels worldwide. The views were stunning and the property is perfection, in fact the view from our room was hard to comprehend it was just that beautiful! We had a 5 course dinner and the meal was also one of best meals. The owners have nailed impeccable attention to details, the stay was a 10/10, even our teens were impressed and said this was one of best places they have stayed! If you like personal touches and attention to details in a small boutique style hotel then this place is a dream come true!
