We spent 7 fabolous days at Albatroz Hotel. Our room was extra clean with a beautiful view to the ocean, the staff was super friendly and helpful and we had amazing breakfasts and dinners, or how we learnt in portuguese it was deliciosa. The hotel has a gym, a sauna and two pools, one of them directly leads to the ocean. Thank you Albatroz for the amazing Madeiran holiday, hope to return here soon. Obrigada!:)

I was charged 40 euoros to swim in a natural pool and it was daylight robbery. The pool had no lifeguards and was very outdated not to mention the birds nesting which had excreted all along the rocks( this wouldn’t have been a problem but when I was expected to leave my things here and they were victim to the poo it was an inconvenience. I was informed they would keep my luggage however this was not the case as I had to lob it round with me all day. There were no facilities to change in so I had to change in a toilet despite being told there were lockers and changing rooms. Then to top it off when I tried to use the gym I was refused entry despite being informed before I payed that I would be able to use the gym so to rub salt in the wound I was totally humiliated. I Would have asked for my money back however staff were intimidating and put on a very poor fake front. For a hotel that has a 5star rating everything about it was outdated and unkempt.
