We are a family of 3 (couple with 10yo boy) and had such a good time at Robinson Quinta da Ria. We stayed there for 5 nights. A special thank you to the kid's club team (my son loved Ben, who was a very kind "big brother" to him) and to the gym teachers (my wife had a great time with all of them). Food is great, service is impecabble, everything was clean and organized. The swimming pool is large and has a good temperature. The beach and the nature surrounding it is stunning, although it's not super close. There were quite a lot of activities, although in my case the main activity was beer drinking... We liked the fact that most outside tables were community tables. Although we don't speak German, we had no problem to communicate in English and had great conversations during meals. As a suggestion for improvement, it would be good to see more international families - Portuguese, English, etc. It would have helped my son to make more friends if at least 20% of the families with kids were non-German speaking families. Will I return? Yes, I surely will. It's one of the best hotels in Algarve. Not cheap, but it does offer a good value for money.

Watch out if you are not German. Although non-German guests pay the same price, this club is made for Germans only... everything is in German - I was advised not to attend a fitness class because it was going to be taught in German... although I paid to have access to all the services and although I’m in Portugal! Also, if you are looking to experience any of the Portuguese culture, don’t come here. There was clearly an effort to extinguish every part of it: no Portuguese food (only a few limited dishes), no Portuguese language, music etc..
