We stayed as a couple in early January 2024 in a cabin at Camp Ripan. We experienced temperatures from -40C to -5C during our 4 night stay.||||The cabins were clean and comfortable and warm. The showers were hot and pressure was excellent!||||We are from Australia, and have never seen or experienced temperatures or even snow like this. The cabins are located away from reception, and I did wonder beforehand whether that would be difficult with luggage. However, the camp is well kept with cleared paths and lots of lights. Easy to walk around with or without luggage! ||||The camp is located on the edge of town but you still get the town lights, ski hill lights and hotel lights. We were able to walk to town easily, if that is what you want to do. We easily walked in -30C to town to get bus to ice hotel (which takes about 30 mins on the bus). You could do it with luggage to get the bus to the airport, but not our preference!||||The dinner at the restaurant was fantastic food and friendly service - recommend at least once during your stay. Breakfast buffet was included and there was good variety. It was disappointing that there is little variety or option for lunch onsite - if you are out on a morning tour and get dropped back, you will be lucky to be able to have some crisps or some dried reindeer. Shame they don't sell simple lunch soups or chips. But the hot chocolates are great :)||||We liked the fact that not being in the same building as the reception/restaurant it forced you to walk outside and acclimatise and enjoy the surroundings. It was great watching people use the sledding hill and we enjoyed our spa experience (although almost impossible to get other spa treatments like massages - so difficult to book!).||||We were fortunate to see the northern lights on site at the camp on 2 out of 4 nights - once from our cabin and once up on the walking trail late at night. However, definitely recommend a formal tour as the views are much stronger out of town with no light pollution from camp or town.||||We would stay here again - it is clean, comfortable and the location on the edge of town is good.

Nice hotel. We stayed there for one night. We booked a room for two people but the room had two single beds opposite to each other. Why? Just put a double bed. The food at the restaurant was so good and the stuff was friendly. For the location, the bus from the airport leaves you 10 minutes away from the hotel and the walk wasn’t that bad but I recommend renting a car in general.
