Bonita! Limpia! Más buena gente trabajadores. This place is worth the trip. It’s small but you are well attended by the friendly staff. The views are breathtaking. The food in the restaurant is amazing. They have two pools and each one feels secluded and refreshing. ||5 stars

Hotel (not much of a resort) was very nice with great ocean views. I’ve been to 56 countries so it’s hard to be too critical. I give the ocean views a 9/10. Cleanliness of resort 9/10. Guest room (Coral) 7/10. Food in restaurant 6/10. Reception and responsiveness to issues 2/10. Overall value 4/10 (saw better places for less). Don’t expect an extravagant welcome, with tour, presentation and amenities - El Salvador is still a work in progress. In a few years investors will take over surf city but prices will skyrocket so come now. It’s relativity cheap but El Tunco is like Miami Beach to the locals. Depending on your budget $20 is overkill for a meal. Most tourists should spend more than $5 for breakfast or $10 for dinner. But you can eat for $2 and buy your own alcohol for $10 a bottle. I regiment you do your own research before staying at this hotel. I paid $200 a night which is equivalent to $2000 a night for an El Salvadorian.
