Lovely place to spend the day. Rent the cabana. Food service is great. Not much food for a vegetarian. I had a salad. But my family enjoyed their food. Head down the steps to enjoy the natural sea pools. Needs some repairs on a few pools. But overall a great day.

We had a great experience staying at Atami. It was our last night in San Salvador and we wanted 24 hours in the sun, by the beach, before heading to Mexico City. Things to appreciate: - They allowed for early check in and the room was throughly cleaned. Absolutely no signs of bed bugs. - The room had an AC (but no bug screen if you prefer window open through the night). - The Pelican restaurant has VEGAN options. We have had issues finding any vegetarian option in downtown except mushroom or cheese pupusas. The food wasn’t of highest quality, but def better than expected. We can recommend the quinoa and veggie filled bell pepper and the tacos. - There was Wifi throughout the facility and lounge music by the pools. - The two beach access and natural pools + pools just next to the restaurant, including a shallow pool for the kids. The beach is a black sand and rocky, natural to the volcano area. - Pool towels included for free. - There are also local restaurants and bars on the public beach next to the resort. - They offer surf lessons through local surfers. - They offer massage through local therapists. - Breakfast buffet was good and had something for everyone. Things to consider: - Make sure to order your Uber early as there is no shuttle service provided by the resort. - There are no snacks such as chips, fruit, or candy to purchase at the resort to enjoy by the pool. Bring some from your outside activities. - The shelves in our bathroom were all leaning forward and it was a challenge to utilize the space for our products. - The bed isn’t super plushy, a better topper could do as I felt the springs through the mattress.
