Stayed here one night travelling between Ko Tao and Phuket.not great first impression as bus dropped us off at train station in pouring rain and could only get a leaky pickup to take us to hotel,the driver-turned out to be very friendly and helpful.The room was very clean with good aircon,bed,shower.Fantastic restaurant on a lake 100 yds away,really fresh seafood at Thai,not tourist prices,in fact Chumporn seems a place to revisit,it seems to be a transit station for people but there are lovely beaches here,half an hour away.Chumporn is not on the beach itself and the hotels seem to be mid to lower range but we will come back here and try it out.
