My son (15) & I spent 27 nights in Centara Kata Beach Resort arriving late June. Sadly on our arrival we learned of the death of my mother and the friendly Reception staff were very comforting and supportive. We suffered another set back on day 5 but hotel manager Nancy came up with a solution which helped us greatly through a difficult time. We had breakfast each morning and I have to say Chef Ngek and her young team of chef's do a wonderful job. A wide selection of both tasty Thai and Western food was available each day and the staff were brilliant and always smiling. Morning omelettes cooked by Yok were delicious and the waiters and waitresses were a credit to the hotel. Nang & Mark and many others looked after us brilliantly. Wednesday night was BBQ night and it was really good with live music to accompany the delicious food. A special thank you to Chef Ngek who surprised my son with a birthday 🍰cake and all the staff came and sang Happy Birthday. A lovely gesture. Our room was perfect with a nice view of the pool with the 4 elephant statues and the bed was very comfortable. TV with Sports Channels, mini bar, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities as well. Reception staff were great and very helpful at all times. Thank you to manager Nancy, View, Pla, Mimow, Nancy2 and others. The swimming pools were great and we enjoyed the Gym, Snooker & Table Tennis at the activity centre. We were sad to leave after 27 days which shows how much we enjoyed staying at Centara Kata Beach Resort. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.
