The family running the restaurant and hotel are just lovely people. Great food, service, and the location is awesome. Tucked away from the main road but close enough for walking distance to shops, food, and the beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling with a family as well! Great little nook:)
The rooms are cosy, the airconditioning is fantastic and the value for money is almost too good to be true, but the best thing at Sala Bua is the friendly service and phenomenal food. Thep and his family work so hard from 7am til 10pm every day in the restaurant downstairs and they are such gracious welcomming hosts. Their english is really good and they are happy to help you arrange anything you need. Location is 3 blocks from the beach, and there's plenty to see and do in this quieter part of Karon. I was hoping to try lots of different dining options in Karon, but I can't go past the friendly family atmosphere and delicious traditional Thai food that Thep serves right down stairs. If you're traveling on a budget, you couldn't get better than Sala Bua.
