Pros: The concierge staff were professional and well-trained. The room was spacious and had a stunning view. The fitness center had a good selection of weight training equipment. The hotel is conveniently situated over a mall and next to a bus stop. Cons: The bed was abnormally soft (some kind of memory foam) and I woke up with back pain each morning. The thick plush carpet in the hallways made it really difficult to roll my luggage (also no bell boys to help carry our luggage despite being a 5-star hotel). The self service laundry was NOT complimentary and the dryer was dated - my clothes were still wet after putting it on high for 2 rounds. The majority of hotel employees were helpful and courteous. However, one rude employee at the women's changing room in the fitness center ruined my experience. I had gone inside to look for a restroom and when she told me that there wasn't one, I immediately started leaving. I guess she didn't like me loitering for a few seconds so she chased me halfway downstairs and yelled at me, which made me incredibly uncomfortable. Summary: Improve the quality of the beds and amenities for guests. Make sure that ALL staff, not just those making the first impression at the concierge, are professional.

My first visit to kaoshiung with my wife, this was the perfect location, room was big and clean with great view of the city. Also has great facilities, gym was nice to use with a spa and pool which i did not get to use. Also attached to the hotel is a department store and mall. Walking distance to the light rail and central park station. Only thing i did not like was having to fiddle with the tv and how hard it was to cast or stream from my phone.
