This is still a relatively new hotel in Kaohsiung (opened during COVID time) and operation was finally switched under Marriott a couple years back. I was very happy that Marriott finally put in a property at the 2nd largest city in Taiwan so was eagerly anticipating this stay. Needless to say hotel is new, modern and beautifully designed. Location wise, it is not far from high speed rail Zuoying station so very easy to travel to but the immediate area is a bit far from heart of the downtown so if you want to be in a hustling-bustling commercial zone, this would not be best location. Having said, the owner/developer of this hotel also built a super high-end shopping mall right behind the hotel premise and the mall comes with lots of shopping and dining options for the hotel guests, which I found it very helpful.||I had the great pleasure of receiving an upgrade in recognition of my elite status (thank you Marriott KH). I was simply blown away by the size and the wonderful facilities as soon as I walked into my room: apart from the separate living and sitting areas, there is also a stand alone Japanese style tea/dinning room and enormous size bathroom. It is like your own apartment, and enormous! Absolutely speechless about the amount of space you get. ||Executive Lounge is at the 32nd floor and once again, it is a huge space where you can have your breakfast and dinner here during your entire stay if you want to. So many food and drink items (change daily) and quality is great. Staff at the Lounge is also friendly and attentive. I did not have the chance to use the gym or swimming pool as they were under maintenance during the time when I was there. Must check them out next time.||Overall, my stay at Kaohsiung Marriott totally exceeds my expectation and is simply amazing. I would most definitely return to this hotel for my next business trip!
