After reading some of the reviews, had some hesitation to stay at this property, but decided to give it a go. The arrival experience was pleasant, front desk staff, greeted me and recognized my Diamond status. In several previous reviews there was complaints of this hotel was not honoring Diamond members room upgrades if they were available. In this case upon my checkin they had already had my room upgraded and it was a smooth transition. The staff was attentive and friendly. ||All of the executive lounge staff were very helpful and the overall lounge experience was pretty good. There was some reviews stating that you had to reserve a time slot for the executive lounge, but that is only on Saturday, Sunday & Monday as the hotel is often full to capacity on those days. For those days the time slots for Breakfast in the lounge is 6:30-8:30am, 8-9:30am & 9-10:30am and for Evening cocktails the time slots are 18:00 to 18:50 & 19:10-20. You just need to let them know what time slot you would prefer at checkin. All other days the breakfast time is 6:30am-10:30am and Evening cocktails is from 18:00 to 20:00. ||In the lounge for breakfast they do have a chef that will prepare eggs in a variety of ways. Evening Cocktails is a self serve bar and a small food buffet. They kept everything pretty well stocked.||The hotel is in a good location will plenty of food outlets within a three block radius, you just have to go out and explore. One block from the hotel during the end of November thru December the area is decked out with Holiday lights in the public spaces and there is a Holiday/Christmas market during the evening hours in a park area. Across the street from the hotel there are several spa's & massage shops. The main mall is only two blocks from the hotel.||The rooms are nicely done, comfortable and clean. The only complaint that I would have is that the hotel restaurants, lobby area and executive lounge was very cold. Had to bring my light jacket when I ate at the buffet restaurant in the hotel. The gym was a bit of disappointment as well. With only one universal machine, some dumbbells, not hardly enough to get a basic workout. There was a couple of treadmills and stationary bikes. ||Check out was quick and they arrange the taxi to the airport for NT$1,300. Note that traffic can be tough during the day and evening hours going to the airport, give yourself at least one hour travel time. ||I would certainly stay at this property again and a special thanks to the great staff for making the stay enjoyable.
