What a beautiful hotel. The decorations this time of year were amazing. The staff have been lovely so far. We are here for 6 nights. So many bars and restaurants in the hotel all serving delicious food and great cocktails. There is a mall next door with a food court and supermarket.
This was probably one of the most disappointing stays I've experienced at a hotel. Upon arriving at the parking lot, it was in a state of disarray and uncleanliness. The lighting fixtures at the parking area were constantly flickering, making it hard to imagine this was a five-star hotel. During check-in, the process was cumbersome and annoying as my accompanying friend also had to present the identification document. This contrasted with other five-star hotels in Taipei where the process is smoother. To make matters worse, the room I had booked, a "Deluxe Taipei 101 View Twin Room," was changed without my consent to a "Grand Deluxe Family" room type. Not only was the new room not any larger, but the promised view of Taipei 101 also turned out to be disappointing. To catch a glimpse of the Taipei 101 from the room, I had to lean against the window to see a small portion of the view on the other side. Furthermore, signs of mold were evident in the various silicone strips around the shower area and washbasin, making the overall accommodation experience extremely displeasing. The only aspect that deserves some praise is perhaps the hot water supply for showers, which was sufficient and the water pressure was strong. Additionally, the breakfast provided was satisfactory, although not outstanding.
