The Best Western in Canon City was adequate for my one-night stay while I was on a vacation road trip through Colorado and the Four Corners Region. The front desk employee was polite and professional and Check in was quick and efficient. My King Room was very clean and well attended. The bed was comfortable and well made. This hotel is convenient to U. S. Highway 50, but I heard little or no road noise. However, the walls are very thin, and I did hear the guest in the adjacent room and in the hallway moving around and having normal conversations. There is plenty of parking in a well-lit lot. There is an IHOP and Chili’s restaurant adjacent to the Hotel. The Chili’s proved to be a good choice. The hotel features a basic breakfast. During my visit there were a couple of large groups in the breakfast area which resulted in overcrowding. The attendant tried hard to keep the area clean and stocked but they were really fighting a loosing battle. A couple of my traveling companions opted for breakfast at the Nearby IHOP, which according to them was not a good choice. I chose only to grab a muffin and coffee. I am not usually a fan of hotel coffee, but the coffee here was rather good. Overall, this hotel met my basic requirements. It was reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed a good night’s sleep and will consider this hotel again if I am in the area.
