This hotel is in the most dog friendly town in the country. They charge $250. Per day to have your dog in your room. This is after paying $1000 for a room. For a very average room. No view, housekeeping station outside our bath room window with no curtain. Just a frosted glass so we had to keep window closed. View on other side is a parking lot . On other side is their outdoor restaurant. At checkout we were shown a $35. Per day service charge on our bill which we were not informed of. No food available except an 8 course tasting menu for $165 per person. Nothing. No room service except a minimal breakfast you have to sign up for the day before with a time and a choice to eat. Most unfriendly hotel we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. We left a day early even though we |prepaid.

This is for the restaurant - spectacular meal. The menu is a multi-course tasting menu with wonderful wine pairings and optional cheese service. When Michelin guide manages to go South of San Francisco this place will get a star. The food is creative and masterful - with dishes varying with the seasons and what is fresh and available. The service is exquisite and the wine was thoughtfully paired from vineyards you probably haven't heard of but will love with each dish. To set expectations the space is small but not cramped, parking is not easy and this is not a cheap meal. That said it is a wonderful culinary experience and a great spot to celebrate.
