Decided to stay at Carmel for a few nights for my birthday trip and I’m glad that I stayed at Villa Mara. Impeccable service, intentionality, and care was shown to me during my stay and I only have great things to say about this hotel! It was also a short walk to the ocean view which is just a few feet from the hotel. I also greatly enjoyed the breakfast! I don’t think I’ve had better almond croissants anywhere else in the US (yet)😂. Thanks!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Mara! We were greeted by the kind and attentive staff as soon as we walked up. The grounds were beautiful. Every touch carefully curated. The communal areas invited guests to get to know each other whether around the bar, the fireplace, or the fire pits placed around the hotel. We also got to start our day with a breakfast that included mouthwatering sweet eats and other savory breakfast bites. I’m telling you I had the best almond croissant of my life! The staff - George, Robert, Jonathan, Rocky, and Joseph -accommodated every request and ensured an unforgettable experience; I never heard the word “no”, and they were all so personable. The hotel is a stones throw from the beach, and incredible walks with beautiful vistas. Delicious restaurants and fantastic shopping were also only a short walk into town. This is a trip I will want to do again and again! 1000% recommend.
