The PenInsula Chicago is perfectly located, right on the Magnificent Mile. My City View suite, with generous footprint, was fit for a King. An elegant living room was outfitted with chairs, circular black tables and a sofa backed by a floor-to-ceiling mural. Exceptional features included large windows promoting Michigan Avenue views and tablet technology that let me control lighting, temperature, curtains and even the 'do not disturb' sign amongst other functions. The bath was marbleized, huge and comes with a TV near the soaking tub. The Peninsula has created many delicious culinary experiences from a Lobby Lounge to the Shanghai Terrace and the Z Bar to the Cafe. The European Cafe and Wine Bar with a bistro-inspired somewhat grab-n-go style is open for breakfast & lunch, Wednesdays to Sundays, and serves items that cater to this category of eatery. The Lobby Lounge serves up contemporary food fare and is home to the hotel's popular brunch, classy high tea and outstanding menu items from filet mignon to scallops. The Z bar, a rooftop terrace, provides elaborate views of the cityscape, innovative handcrafted cocktails & menu items. The Shanghai Terrace serves up authentic Cantanese food .......I thoroughly enjoyed a dim sun lunch here. This hotel can boast of a gorgeous spa which is armed with a bevy of treatments ranging from a Stone Message to a Deep Cleansing Facial. The spa is enhanced by an indoor half-Olympic length swimming pool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows offering comprehensive city views, a relaxing lounge with a fireplace and a fully equipped fitness center & yoga studio.||||So, if you are looking for luxe level amenities, pampering service and superb shopping at your front door...................then try the ..................Peninsula Chicago........||...........grand elegance.
