Hampton Inn & Suites Chico

We have stayed in this Hampton Inn numerous times as our family lives in Chico, Ca. Also, we are Diamond Hilton members and have stayed in many Hampton Inn hotels as well as other Hilton properties.||||This time, we had reservations for 2 nights but after the first horrible night, we chose to leave this property. We arrived at the hotel after a 3 1/2 hour drive from NV at about 5 p.m. and were tired. We settled in and I went to turn on the TV and it did not turn on. My husband said there was no power cord. I called the front desk and he said he'd come check. He didn't come and I had to go to the front desk and tell him again. He came and found there was no power cord. He asked if we wanted to move the room and we said no as we were tired. The next morning, I asked to speak to the manager but was told she wasn't there. We decided to check out due to the TV issue as well as the filty bathroom floor. We moved to the Hampton Inn in Yuba City. Upon arriving there, I noticed I had left my beautiful white sweater with sequined snowflakes on it in the bathroom at the Chico Hampton Inn. I immediately called the hotel only to be told it was not turned in. I couldn't believe it as it was left in the bathroom on a hook where I had left it.||||I asked to speak to the manager, Jay and was told she wasn't in. I kept calling the hotel and even made a report but got no call from the manager. I was told by a housekeeper the protocol for lost items is to put them in a bag and they go to lost and found for 3 months. This did not happen. Whoever cleaned our room 105 clearly stole my beautiful sweater.||||Finally today, 4 days after the issues, I called the Hampton Inn in Chico and talked to the manager. She apologized and really didn't do anything about the theft of my sweater and said the head housekeeper had cleaned our room. I said well she is not honest as that sweater was hanging on the hook in the bathroom.||||I am so disappointed in the management of the Hampton Inn in Chico, CA. and the honesty of the staff.
