When I booked this “specialty” hotel, I was expecting to receive the quality of service of boutique hotels, especially at this price point. The service was more than disappointing, it was infuriating. While the hotel looks absolutely beautiful, the service resembled more of a 2 star hotel. For example, I had to go down to the front desk THREE TIMES to ask for housekeeping services. THEY NEVER CLEANED MY ROOM. Additionally, I was lied to several times, and the front desk employee Melissa is incredibly incompetent and unwilling to assist you in anything that will cause her even the slightest inconvenience. I was incorrectly charged for things, my credit card was run instead of my companies, and the list hassles and headaches they created for me continues. What was the most surprising was the manager’s reaction when I first approached him to compliment and rave about the bartender, Sterling, and then followed with the comment “I have also had some very bad experiences here.” He suggested I give sterling a “kudos”, and immediately walked away from me and did not acknowledge my concerns. His demeanor is incredibly negative and he is not approachable; it took me awhile to build up the guts to even approach him. And unfortunately , I was right about him. After some research of my own, I found out that this hotel is NOT owned by Marriott. They are lacking the skills and knowledge to ever live up to The standards one would expect when saying at a place at this price point. I highly suggest staying at one of the other beautiful hotels in the area. The BEST part of this hotel, and its redeeming quality, is Sterling, the bartender. He saved our experience - he is the only person who truly exemplifies quality customer service. He goes above and beyond, and makes the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life!
