This was our first trip to Crested Butte since the mid 2000’s. We wanted a convenient location as my mom is 70. We had two rooms thankfully. One shower in the suite could never get hot water. The other room on multiple attempts to get hot water we could not. Our refrigerator did not work. We called for repair it was never resolved nor were we updated. Thankfully the other rooms refrigerator worked. They were in the middle of a cable update for the tv. One room had channels the other did not. I brought a down pillow from home. After the first room cleaning it was gone. Never to be found again. Sad as it was one of my favorite pillows. I had our ski clothes delivered. When we checked in the front desk attempted to look in the back for the package and couldn’t find it. Wasn’t interested in going any further to look. Thankfully, an employee named Ryan attempted and said come on let’s go look in our delivery room. We were able to locate the package. Ryan could not have been more helpful or kind. He is by far the best employee we encountered. The window in one of the rooms broke and we could not close it back. There is no literature about the area in the rooms or hotel. We were looking for information on the runs, the bus, assistance with epic passes, the nearest coffee, etc. nothing was made available. Overall the experience was disappointing. I would highly recommend renting a condo near the base that you can ski in and out of. The rooms are mediocre at best.
