Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown, an IHG Hotel

This was a fair place to stay. For being downtown and up charging because of the location, you would think that the hotel would at least do basic care of the rooms. Parking is only valet. Sure, you can go a block but you got to bring everything back up. They don't explain that the cost will be added to the bill. I'm glad I can in at night, otherwise I would question on staying. Tight turn into the room and just a bit larger then the bed and a chair. When I was getting ready to relax, I try to heat up the room. I couldn't turn it higher or lower then 68. Only turn on and off. I was able to relax in the room without much sound from the hallway. I was happy to see the tv with sleep timer. Come morning, first thing I see is heavy water damage on the wall behind the bed. Being fully awake, I see that the bathroom mat for the shower looks so ragged. Breakfast was the basics. Clean area. Staff was alright. No one out standing. I know I book this only a few hours but you would still think they would see the gold status. IF I need a hotel this close to downtown, I might think about coming back. But most likely I will save the money and just stay in the hotel down the highway.
