I’ll try to be fair here. First, the good: 1) Karla is really nice. Most of the staff is really nice except the one woman who was just okay and seemed kind of irritated. 2) The rooms and facilities are very clean. 3) I thought the mattresses were perfectly firm. 4) The pool and hot tub are nice! (Indoor!) 5) Decent breakfast buffet. Better than most. 6) Its a short walking distance to good food. “The Place” in the strip mall across the street has amazingly good breakfast. Nicolos pizza across the street going the other way has excellent pizza and beer. There’s a couple taco places nearby that smelled amazing but we didn’t get a chance to try. But there’s a not so good side too: 1) The breakfast buffet coffee is pretty bad. 2) Noise is an issue. The walls are thin and you can hear everything with just normal activity. Our last night a family of five checked in with super loud kids who finally went to sleep. But they left the TV on all night and it was like having the TV on in my room. The hotel is very close to the train tracks and the trains run frequently and 24/7. 3) The location is not what I had expected. It’s near a pretty industrial part of town across the tracks and on the edge of a residential neighborhood. If you’re looking to be near historic Flagstaff be aware this isn’t close. It’s about a 10 minute drive. There’s nothing overly charming about where it’s situated.
