Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina

My 7 year old daughter and I enjoyed Pink Shell Resort a lot. It's not perfect but overall the good things far surpass the bad so we would definitely stay there again. Our room was basically an apartment with a gorgeous beach view and a small kitchen. On the other hand the balcony was completely closed by a dense net, which ruined the view. Not sure if that was temporary because of the construction going on in the surrounding areas, but if it's permanent it's something very stupid in my opinion. In Fort Myers Beach there is construction everywhere you look, and Pink Shell is no exception, there are 3 buildings and at least 2 of them are not finished, which means you might hear the construction orchestra very early morning. The best part of the resort is the pool, which is large and beautiful and is kept 24/7 very warm, like a hot tub. That's important, because nowadays when weather is not natural anymore and the sky is butchered every day, you might not get any sun for days, and then there won't be much to do except walk on the beach in a wool sweater or swim in the pool. One restaurant, Jack's, serves breakfast and that's amazing. However they only do breakfast there. The other restaurant which is available for lunch and dinner, Bongo, is average at best. Parking space is free and plenty. Overall I had a great time and I recommend it, the strong points are: location on the beach, cleanliness, pool, great breakfast, friendly staff.
