***** Five-Star Weekend Anniversary Trip at Maison de la Luz, New Orleans ***** My wife and I took a weekend anniversary trip to New Orleans and had the absolute pleasure of staying at Maison de la Luz. The entire experience was extraordinary. The hotel exudes an air of sheik, eclectic sophistication without pretention. Every inch of Maison de la Luz is impeccably designed with careful attention to detail evident throughout. I mean, just look at the pictures--it’s even better in person! What really set this boutique hotel apart is the warmth and passion of the staff. It was clear that they loved what they do, and their enthusiasm for their work shone through in every interaction we had. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a masterclass of hospitality by Sean. His food recommendations were nothing short of perfection, as he seemed to intuitively understand our tastes and preferences. He took the time to genuinely listen to us, forging a connection that made us feel like valued guests. Sean's personable and welcoming demeanor truly elevated our experience and made us feel right at home. My wife and have stayed at lot of really cool, unique hotels, but Maison de la Luz raises the bar. It was an experience like no other, and we are genuinely thankful to everyone who made our stay so exceptional. If you're seeking an unforgettable getaway in New Orleans, this is the spot.

My husband and I spent a week at Maison de la Luz - Friday night to the next Saturday afternoon. The hotel is located in an amazing place, close enough to everything we wanted to walk to and far enough from Bourbon Street to be quiet at night. When we first walked into the building we were struck with how gorgeous it all was. A huge, welcoming foyer led into a comfortable lounge. Sean and Ty welcomed us and made us feel so well taken care of. Sean explained many of the amenities from the honor bar to the daily lounge offerings (such as coffee, tea, charcuterie & wine, and cookies). He also let us know about Bar Marilou - a part of the hotel and connected to the lobby by a spinning bookcase - which we definitely had to go through. Sean and Ty were the friendliest of the staff. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming but Sean & Ty learned our names, got to know us, and made us feel like we were a "part of the family." We chatted with them every night that they were working - we'll miss them. Our room was gorgeous with tall ceilings and beautiful decor. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom. The shower felt amazing! We were offered free coffee deliveries to our room every morning which was incredible. The detail to service was wonderful all around. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this lovely hotel. Gorgeous room, spectacular service, and stellar location. We definitely recommend Maison de la Luz to anyone looking for a visit where you truly feel like you are welcome.
