Where to begin… We have come to NOLA so many times and this trip we were here to stay for a business trip. When we checked in, we couldn’t find the valet. We had to go inside and get the front desk to find the valet. Finally about 30 minutes later, we get checked in. We submit our tax exempt form and the front desk calls to tell us it’s not acceptable and we need another one. So we provide it and think it’s taken care of. During the duration of our stay, we don’t get housekeeping everyday, the room is totally outdated, smells weird, and the sheets have stains. We ask the housekeeper for towels and to clean our room and we get major attitude from them. She says we don’t get housekeeping everyday. I ask the front desk and they say we will get it. We only had it 1 day for our 4 night stay and that’s not what was expected. Fast forward to check out and I follow up to get our receipt and they didn’t put in the tax exempt and said they had to “find the form”. We spent 15 minutes on hold to get disconnected. When we finally got it taken care of, we got an attitude from the manager about our form. Let’s just say, we wouldn’t stay here again and we’ve informed the conference owners of our issues and we’ve agreed to choose a different hotel moving forward . As far as location, there were homeless in the valet area and right outside of the doors that would constantly ask for your money. I understand that the street is a common area, but you would think they could get them away from the door so we could walk in. When I asked to speak to the manager about our issues, we were told that our form was taken care of so we shouldn’t need to speak with her. We are gold elite members and even have the Marriott credit card but we are rethinking for future stays.
The employees at The Renaissance Pere Marquette French Quarter Area Hotel are truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the diligent housekeeping staff, every team member contributes to a superb guest experience. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality create an atmosphere that's both inviting and memorable. What stands out even more is their ability to handle challenging situations with grace and courtesy. It's evident that each staff member is dedicated to ensuring guests have a delightful stay, making this hotel a standout choice for those seeking top-notch service in the heart of New Orleans.
