SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Smyrna Beach

The SpringHill Suite in NSB is in a nice location, Just steps to the Ocean. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and a somewhat updated style. The front desk however seems to forget to inform their guests of a very important factor, being a complimentary breakfast to it's guests. Had I known in advance I would have allowed extra time for my appointment and had a bite to eat. The rooms are decent, with an area that has a desk/table area to open your laptop and do some work if your a business traveler. The price of the room is not cheap, but it's because it's so close to the water. Plus they don't give you even 1 complimentary bottle of water during your stay. Something that is very inexpensive and makes a good impression in my opinion. The faucet water doesn't taste very good, especially while brushing your teeth. I would have preferred a bottle of water to rinse just for that reason. The room does have a small coffee maker which is convenient, but if you know in advance that breakfast is complimentary then you really don't need the coffee maker. The breakfast looked like all the essentials, scrambled eggs, sausage and bread for toasting. Oatmeal and toppings for the oatmeal, nuts, brown sugar, etc. I did manage to grab a lemon poppy seed slice of brad which was very tasty and delicious with my coffee. Had I had more time I would have fueled up before my meeting at 7:00 The beds were comfortable and served the purpose I needed. Shower pressure was ok, not real strong but not weak as I've experienced in the past at other hotels. I'd definitely say if you have it in the budget to stay at this hotel and you have a little time to enjoy the scenery do it. It's in a nice spot on Flagler Street in this cute little surfer town of New Smyrna Beach.
