We check in late, our room 536 has brown stain on mattress, floor lamp not working and bathroom looked half cleaned so we get another room, 542. It looked and smelled better yet there were hairs on door, around sink and bathtub, floor lamp not working and tv remote sticky. We had been driving over 5 hours and cheap rate so whatever we would deal with it in the morning the bed « looked clean ». At night my neck kept itching but I figured the cold was making my allergies act up. 7am I am woken up by what’s either bed bugs or baby cockroaches on the pillow and bed. I call the front desk, tell them I have pictures and found bugs which is unacceptable and want a refund. They said they would get pest control to investigate and it was up to the managers to decide if I got my money back. Until Tuesday and it’s Sunday which I’m checking out and leaving the city. As a past choice hotels employee this is ridiculous. I have stayed in almost every brand including eco one and which is supposed to be lower tier and never had this level of dirtiness. Normally at the notice of roaches or bugs in a bed a refund is automatic, specially with proof but I guess it’s normal here so how else will they keep their profit ? Do the favor of the decision I failed on and 1. Read reviews on a detailed way & pay a little bit more for a better stay.
