We arrived, looking forward to seeing the sunset over the Gulf. We went into the lobby and waited a very long time for someone. No one ever came. I called Ramada and they tried contacting the property and we sat in the lobby and listened to the phone ring incessantly. No one came or answered. Finally, the person on the other end of the call said he was unable to reach anyone at the hotel. My wife noticed a piece of paper taped to the lobby door, so she went out to read it. It said there would be no employees working that night and no one would be available until 7:00 AM the next day. It also said that guests could go to the Radisson next door to check in. I went ahead and turned in a ticket with Ramada over the phone. I walked to the Radisson and retrieved my keycard. By this time, we had missed the sunset. We went into the room and it smelled terrible. The carpet was stained and dirty looking. The room looked like something from Psycho. Cables hung on the walls, the doors didn't latch or lock properly and the smell was terrible. Since there were no workers, I couldn't change rooms or complain, so we went to Walmart and bought Lysol and air freshers. The bathroom wasn't bad and the view was awesome, although it was dark at that point... but it was a full moon. Don't stay here, just don't.
