One night stay. Great value, possibly driven by lobby renovations which were currently underway, said renovations created no issues for us e.g. no noise and no inconvenience. All of the staff we met were super pleasant, responsive, and helpful. The shower / bathroom in our room was super clean, like new, part of recent renovations. Room was clean and bed/bedding comfortable. Ice maker machine on 4th floor was inoperable (and labeled so) but 3rd floor ice machine working great. We are price / value shoppers and booked a non-refundable rate, so we were a bit dismayed when we were pleasantly advised at check-in that parking was $10 — as the Hilton app did not disclose this in the total price and yet we imagine 99% of guests here would have a car to park. To me, felt intentionally deceptive given the otherwise value price. And having stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years, this highway location would not normally come with a parking fee — it’s not downtown and it’s not a resort. So, at checkout, politely shared my feelings and without hesitation the front desk dropped the charge. Seems better if the hotel added the $10 to their base rate thus avoiding the appearance of deception / creating a game, since again it is a place where most guests would need parking, and typical competitors in similar locales would not charge extra for parking. But they did resolve it and we’d stay here again due to great value.
