Clean and Fancy on the outside but rooms are small and outdated. Okay for a couples retreat but not super kid friendly. The hotel is conveniently located, with plenty to do nearby. I was here for a conference but my Mom kindly traveled with us to be with my kids. When we travel with my family we are used to a kitchen and space but the rooms didn’t even have a microwave 😒. They did have a tiny fridge. The pools were great but they do have A LOT of chlorine and the water is chilly for an indoor pool. One of my kids has sensitive skin and the excessive chlorine burned his skin. The Staff is friendly, some more than others. Parking is inconvenient. High nightly rates ($30-$40/day) plus tip without an alternative option. Everything has to go through the downstairs bell boys. We were rushed to get to a conference and trying to load our own stuff onto a bell cart but had to get in line for one of the bell boys. I am totally grateful they are willing to help but it’s too much rule following. You don’t feel free and relaxed to go about your day without checking with the bell boys 🤣. With all the options in Texas, there are plenty of other places, true fancy resorts if you are a couple and true family friendly hotels if you are with your family 🙂. Yes, I would come back if my stay is free but if I have to pay for it, I am spending my money elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel, nice location close to La Cantera with great shopping. Rooms and hotel are beautiful but the lack of full service is less than expected for a "resort". I don't think they should call this a resort. No room service, no daily room cleaning or towels change unless you pay extra so we have to take out our own trash, request fresh towels daily which is less than ideal. Upon arrival, we were immediately bombarded with a concierge that tried to push a vacation time share on us which was opposite of welcoming. The valet staff was excellent, very polite and prompt. The pool is nice but you have to exit through the front doors with all your pool stuff which is odd, they try to charge $150/day for cabanas and the cabanas are old, cushions stained, and curtains worn out. There is a bar with decent cocktails which is nice and pool area is beautiful. They have a little market with grab and go breakfast but it was so greasy so we didn't go back so now we have to leave the resort to have breakfast each day which is not relaxing at all. The gym is by far the nicest gym I've ever had access to at the hotel and we do use that daily. All in all, there are definitely highs and lows, but we likely won't stay here again due to lack of service that is included.
