Surprise hotel find... great downtown location, boutique rooms. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, and there is a really cool family- friendly lobby area with a BIG screen and games for kids including shuffleboard and a wall mounted Scrabble. Our room was clean as a whistle and well stocked and quiet. One more big plus: the restaurant/lounge called The Gavel has a nicely diverse menu for breakfast and dinner and a great staff. Cheers especially to Carley who showed our family some of the most cheerful hospitality ever! Part 2: excellence continues at this property. A night crew is taking care of small cleaning details... walls, railings, etc... and instant IT service from Josef on an Apple TV question in the room is refreshing... and then day 2 at The Gavel restaurant /lounge is another big hit, with the amazing and effervescent Maria at the bar serving up a super hospitable evening... and Jeff in the kitchen serving us quality dishes late in the evening. Great stay... thank you staff and management! We'll be back!

The rooms were clean, but very dated. This was the first hotel I ever stayed in that didn’t have a microwave. While we were there the elevator kept having issues as well. The service was good but not exceptional. Not real friendly, but did their job. The people in the bar/ restaurant were awesome! All of them were so outgoing and great service! The location was great as far as seeing and enjoying the river walk, but we had the river view, and every morning the trash trucks started banging around at about 6:00 am. Also, on Sunday morning we woke to the hotel music that plays in front of the hotel at 5:30 am! I would stay there again, but probably not that side.
