If there was a 3.5, that’s what I would rate. This is definitely not a new hotel, but from what I experienced, they have thrown some $$$ in cosmetic upgrades. Lobby was newly appointed with furniture, desk clerk was pleasant “enough”. Our room was clean and bed was quite comfortable. ( when you are our age, 70, a comfy bed is just about #1 on the list of what constitutes a good room.) The heater worked great and was not as noisy as one might have imagined. Didn’t keep us awake. What is noisy is the traffic as this place is near a major intersection. Around 10 pm, traffic started noise started fading. Also, noise from neighboring rooms is more noticeable. Fortunately, our neighbor was relatively quiet. But I could imagine a room next to or above you with a family a running kids could harsh your chi. If you are over 6’4”, the shower might not be for you, at least in the room we were in. As I stepped in, I had 1” of head room. And the WIFI was still out. (Not that big of a deal for us.) All in all, for the $75 we spent on this King room, this stay was good. Would we stay again? Depends on our budget at the time.

Out of all of the La Quinta's we have stayed in this was a let down. The room was not particularly clean, the door was warped and did not close properly. The room could not hold the heat. Breakfast was a disappointment. A kind request, please stop watering down the fruit juice, the orange juice tasted like disgusting water.
