Holiday Inn Shreveport Downtown, an IHG Hotel

I visited this location on 1/12/24. My granddaughter was in a cheer competition here in the city. I traveled from Dallas, TX, and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To start, only one of my card keys to the room worked; the iron did not work; it only leaked dirty water; the carpet was dirty; the bathroom was stopped up and not able to flush; the lamps in the room were all rusted; and the power sockets did not work. I went down to tell the front desk to see that there was another bathroom with a sign that said out of order. The front desk informed me that the maintenance man had left for the night and that I would have to wait until the morning; they never offered to move me to another room. I checked out very early the next day and charged my IHG points and $108.14. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not available. I would have been better off just sleeping in my car after arriving so late than paying for a dirty room such as this one again.
